BOSOPT Last Mile Optimizer (LMO) provides advanced route optimization for last-mile delivery and field service operations, handling high stop counts, time windows, capacity constraints, and custom operational rules.

LMO is part of BOSOPT's full planning and execution platform — from route optimization through driver assignment, field execution, and operational monitoring.

Common use cases include:

Same day pick up and delivery routing

Orders include same day pickup and delivery pairs where pickup and delivery locations are both non-hub locations.

Delivery orders do not have to follow pickup orders immediately after pickup.

Time constrained routing with high stop counts and low service times

Capacity-redundant, time limited route planning.

Small sized orders. You run out of time before you run out of your capacity.

Normally designed for high number of stops per route. Service minutes at stops are relatively small.

Zone based routing

Orders are provided in zones or subzones.

Orders of a zone cannot be mixed with orders from another zone.

Orders of a subzone need to be routed together on the same route consecutively.

Time critical delivery routes with order ready times

Orders are produced in waves and needs to be delivered in narrow time windows.

Daily routing with relaysPRO

Combination of hub to multiple stops and hub to relay point then delivery out of relay point to multiple stops.

Orders can include same day pickup and delivery order pairs. Some subset of orders are first sent to relay point and delivered out of relayed points while remaining orders might still be delivered out of origin hub.

Sample applications for LTL carriers and parcel/small package carriers: Daily LTL delivery with drop yards, daily parcel delivery with relay locations.

Combined Last Mile and Network RealignmentPRO

Multiple terminals, order to processing terminal assignments are not fixed. Assigns orders to terminals (sets their processing terminals) while forming the routes.

Orders might include same-day pick up and delivery pairs. Regular version of this: Multiple terminals, routes the orders, it uses provided fixed processing terminals for the orders.
